Abstract

The successful Contractor will be expected to test and maintain the fire alarm systems & Emergency Lighting systems for NWSSP (Velindre University NHS Trusts Stores properties in accordance with the following standard:BS 58391 Series Fire Detection & Fire Alarm Systems & BS 5266: Emergency Lighting. In the event of new documentation release, the latest standards must be adopted. Where the systems do not meet these current standards, the maintenance contractor must inform the (NWSSP) Trust of the deficiencies. It will then be the responsibility of the (NWSSP) Trust to arrange upgrades if considered necessary. If the system cannot be maintained due to obsolete parts it will be the Maintenance Contractor’s responsibility to replace with suitable alternative parts to ensure the system remains serviceable and functional. The successful contractor must be able provide evidence of maintaining Fire Alarm systems (please note there may be an additional Store sites incorporated within this contract in the near future). The successful contractor must be able to demonstrate evidence of managing a previous maintenance programme. The successful contractor must send reports to the Health Board no later than 2/3 weeks following a maintenance visit. For all Trust planned upgrades or changes to the systems the Maintenance Contractors will be afforded the opportunity to Tender for these works. Please Note: UKAS, FIA & BAFE accreditation is essential.
